Samsung P1000 Galaxy Tab is a tablet with candy bar design. It runs with latest Android Operating system known as Froyo v2.2 with ARM Cortex A8 processor 1 GHz processor and PowerVR SGX540 graphics. It has a TFT capacitive touchscreen with 600 x 1024 pixels screen resolution. The tablet just weighs 380 g.
The Tablet operates in 3G with HSDPA 900/2100 Network Support and also with 2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 Network Support. Samsung P1000 Galaxy Tab has standard features like 3.15 Mega Pixel Camera with autofocus, LED flash & Geo tagging. It has video recording feature @ 720×480 recording @ 30fps. It also equipped with 1.3 Mega Pixel Camera Secondary in Front for video calls.
Samsung P1000 Galaxy Tab comes with A-GPS support,Wi-fi , HSDPA @ 7.2 Mbps , HSUPA @ 5.76 Mbps. The Tablet is available in two types of internal memory one is 16 GB and another one is 32 GB. It does support MicroSD card upto 32 GB. The tablet is available in Black & Grey colors.
The Galaxy Tab available in the United States from the four major carriers – AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile. Samsung held a press conference yesterday to give more details about its tablet computer.
If the price listing is correct, it would mean that the Galaxy Tab would cost significantly more than its key rival, the iPad. Prices for Apple’s device start from £429.
Samsung is yet to make an official announcement about the price of the Tab, but it is hoped that some mobile network operators will choose to subsidise the cost of the 3G-enabled Tab in return for consumers taking out mobile data packages for the device.
